The security of the Internet is or should be one of the key points in the success of the Internet of Things, but we seem to be far from being secure on the Internet.
At least that is how Janit0r sees it, and that is the reason why he has developed a new Malware called BrickerBot that surfs the web looking for connected devices, put them in a basic security test and if they don’t pass the test, it renders them useless. He intends to carry out a “chemotherapy” to the Internet.
Is this really necessary? Is there that much insecurity on the Internet? Will this make companies responsible for the security of how these devices react?
Here are some articles about this BrickerBot and its creator:

Today’s cyber attack is thought to be as the one that was responsible for last month’s cyberattack on hundreds of thousands of computers in more than 150 countries, and as far as I am aware it basicly renders computers inoperable by encrypting their hard drives, so is all this a real threat to the progress of the IoT??
