‘Should companies be forced to protect their customer’s privacy?’
Probably, but choosing to sell them our data in exchange of their products/services still seems cheap for most people nowadays. IMO, while that fact doesn’t change (by realizing how wickedly our data can be used), these kinds of situations are globally unstoppable and each person has to watch their back individually.
